After pictures of my Garden

We made lemons out of lemonade when this tree had to be cut down because of disease. It now has an old man face, a bird house and a trellis. That growth coming out of his forehead is a bird feeder holder. We take the bird feeder in during the summer and put it out in the winter when the birds need it most.

This is my bottle obelisk. I have sweet peas and purple green beans growing up the tower. The Tropicanna on the left looks like it's competing for attention!

I used to have a few shrubs and then I filled this area in with annuals every spring. I finally decided it was too much work and too expensive. So this year I have filled it to the brim with perenials and just a few annuals. They are packed in pretty tight so the next few years should be interesting.

The edge of our deck where I'm attempting to grow some beans, an artichoke and a cucumber plant. It is verrrrrrry slow going this year.

  1. Hi Annie, Your garden is just absolutely outstanding!!! Seriously beautiful and oh so fun to look at. You've got the perfect ratio of plant to garden art and "busy" or not there is so much to see and enjoy.

Next year I predict that your artichoke will be the ONLY thing growing in that area by your deck. They get huge. I love them.

I envy you your "lemonade" tree. You were so right in not taking it down but letting it age to perfection. I love the branch strung across too.
